I wanted to take a few moments and review this simple yet excellent wall mount.

I had been thinking for some time about mounting my small LCD TV on the wall in my bedroom to free up floor space. I looked first in the stores and there were many options but all fairly expensive and more complicated that what I was looking for so I decided to search on Amazon. I came across this mount that looked much more simple and straight forward than anything I had seen. There were no reviews on it yet but given the low cost I figured I would give it a shot.

The mount arrived more quickly than expected which is always a plus... I took the mount out of the package and in 15-20 minutes my TV was hanging on the wall. It was so very easy to install. I had already decided on the place I wanted to mount it and had located and marked a wall stud so I followed the simple instructions that came with the mount and it really was a breeze to install. If you can use a small drill, a level, and a screw driver, you can certainly handle the installation of this mount.

The thing I really like about this mount is that it is very low profile and so the TV is as close to the wall as is possible so it makes for a very neat look. One thing I was concerned about was that there would not be enough room for the cable TV wire coming straight out the back of the TV so in anticipation of that, I had already picked up a little .50 "L" coax adapter at my local electronics store so that the wire connected straight up from the bottom, eliminating the need to bend the wire.

For the simple design, low cost, and ease of installation of this mount I am very happy with my purchase. If you are looking for a sleek and simple mount then I would recommend this product.

Bought two of these cables and they are great. Build quality is very nice. Cables are thick and feel substantial, and have built in ferrite core on one end of the cable to reduce interference.

We have a newer HD LCD TV and HD cable. Both the TV and cable box are connected via HDMI through our home theater receiver - sound and picture quality are excellent.

I use this with "EyeTV 3" software (on a Mac). It's wonderful!!!! If you've read all of the bad reviews its the Pinnacle software that stinks. Try using Pinnacles hardware with other software. You can download "EyeTV's" software from their web sight. I hope this helps (at least Mac users). When I used The Pinnacle software on my PC (1.2GHz Proc, 1 MB Ram) It worked poorly.

I got this for my Flip camera and it was the best price out there. The Flip site was charging and were out of stock. Radio Shack wanted close to ! I paid about for mine and the only con to this cable would be it is a little short when it comes to resting the camera on stuff but it is so sturdy it holds the camera in midair with no sweat. I ended up resting the camera on top of the TV with no problem.

Since it is only 3 ft long it easily fits in a camera bag and it looks great. I would not want a longer version of it now because this is very portable.

I was apprehensive of the quality of product I would get when I first ordered it. It's the usual "how good can it be when it's so cheap" mentality. Fortunately, this product turned out to be pretty good. All the parts that were supposed to be in the package were there, which is always a good thing. The instructions were pretty straightforward and they also warned, at the appropriate moment, when one would need more than two hands to finish the job. That happened when the top shelf had to be soft of "place" atop these metal bushes before tightening everything up. Fortunately for me, my daughter was around and she helped accomplish that. The only quibble I would have is the overall design of the stand. It does not really have 4 legs with the back being something of the 3rd corner of a triangle. It gives me the impression that it could topple, so I am slightly worried. On the other hand, because this stand is in the corner of our living room, no one goes there, not even one of our cats. So I don't think (hope not) that anything will happen. But the fit and finish is excellent and it's done a good job so far.

I feel a bit silly, but I had no idea whether I could hook my lappy up to my HDTV in order to watch DVDs or to watch something like MLB.tv in HD. I had a devil of a time trying to find out on the interweb what I needed to do to make these things happen.

Well, it turns out, it's a piece of cake with this cable.

I have a Sony Bravia 32" and an Inspiron 1520 lappy. An interesting thing about the lappy is that the VGA-out is on the opposite side as the audio out. This particular cable is terrific because the audio cable is long enough to reach across the entire lappy, with room to spare.

The image on the TV is terrific -- I had read online that VGA didn't have enough bandwidth to transmit HDTV. If so, I can't tell (but, I'm not an audio/video-phile).

I just wanted to write this review to say: if you have a 'puter with a VGA-out port and an HDTV that has a VGA-in port, this is an excellent cable for watching DVDs played on your 'puter and/or streamed HD content like MLB.tv.

Installed this over 3 months ago with a 40" Samsung LCD. Other than lifting the TV over my head by myself, it was a snap to install. Most important thing is to get the screws centered in the wall studs. That 00 TV won't look nearly as good shattered all over the fireplace as it does over it.

When I first hung the TV, it seemed to be sagging to one side. Did some investigating, found where the adjustments for rotation were made and tweaked it, resulting in a perfect alignment. Very happy with this product.

I know very little about electronics and have not kept up with the latest technologies in the computer industry. But after I read the owners manual on my flat screen tv, I felt that maybe if I just bought this cable, I could hook up my tv to my computer. Not bad for living in the country, 40 miles from any broadcasting city. When I previously needed a Firewire cable, I went to Best Buy and paid too much like over thirty bucks for a Firewire cable. Of course, at the time, I immediately needed the cable right then and there. If I had the time, I probably would have looked around on Amazon and found what I found here. Yup, I should have came here to Amazon where I paid a whole lot less: a little over three bucks for another Firewire cable that I needed to give to my sister for her computer that I installed a firewire PCI card into the motherboard for use with her digital-tape camcorder. I bought the Firewire cable from Vortex Cable who is a seller here on Amazon. This is like the fifth cable that I ordered via Amazon from Vortex Cable. Strange that some people are saying this remote is "worthless". I guess these people are too technically challenged, or could not be bothered to actually learn how to use this remote. It's not very difficult to use and all I can say to these people is RTFM. Good luck to you guys using ANY remote at all if you couldn't handle using this one...

The secret to using any "learning" remote, like this one, is to throw the device codes out the window. Never use a device code with a learning remote, there's no need and it works better if you don't. Simply program every button you need from the original remotes signals. That's why you buy a "learning" remote isn't it? Forget the codes. It may seem like a pain, but you will have a remote that does EXACTLY what YOU want, not one that behaves like the codes think it should.

Plus learning remotes can control just about any IR device. Celing fans, window blinds, switch boxs, thermostats, whatever. If it has a remote that uses a regular IR signal (most things do) you can have this remote learn its functions. Shame on those people for putting down such a useful tool.

I bought this remote over 3 years ago and absolutely love it. My only problem with it is I am outgrowing it and would like a few more buttons. Even having simple track forward and back buttons would be much better, but for the price this remote is a great deal for how well it works.

Well even though I'm looking for something newer with a few more buttons, I still love this remote and have so for years. If you don't want to bother having to teach a remote the buttons you need or are too mentally challenged to do so then stay away from all learning remotes... If however you can handle very easy to follow instructions and want a remote that can be tailored to your EXACT needs this remote is a tremendous BARGIN!

GE 24727 Omni Amplified TV Antenna Review

The GE 24727 Omni Amplified TV Antenna is a good value for the cost, especially for a starter Antenna inside the home. I am using it with a Sony XBR9 HDTV LCD and live about 45 miles from the network broadcast stations. I was not expecting very good results since I lived far away from the broadcast stations and with research found that I would be lucky to get good signal even with a roof top outdoor antenna. I bought this antenna to see if I could get anything at all and was surprised I could get a clear video/audio reception of both CBS and NBC stations. The unit comes with an AC adapter, features a built-in amplifier and a combined VHF and UHF antenna. I am capable of receiving 5 UHF stations and sadly no VHF stations. ABC is in the VHF, and I have not been successful receiving it or any other VHF stations. I also have found that for optimum viewing of NBC I need to position the antenna back about 1 foot, but when I do I lose CBS. I have adjusted so I can receive both, but sometimes I can get audio drop off and slight freezes, especially with CBS. I believe it is OK to have to move the antenna back and forth, but inconvenient. However, if you live closer to broadcast stations, you should be very pleased with this antenna, which is a very good value. The amplifier has a thumb wheel to boost to the full 20db gain, but I have found I need it all the way up to get anything. I also discovered that both the rabbit ear antennas need to be fully extended, even to receive UHF (the oval antenna below is the UHF antenna)so there must be some sort of integration between the UHF and VHF antennas. One plus is the UHF antenna has a ball that allows full 360 adjustment left and right and up and down. I believe through experimentation with positioning, ideal signal can be received. Considering I live far away from the main stations, in the blue and mostly purple range, the fact I can get these stations so clear makes this a great value. One day, I may upgrade to at least an attic antenna with separate Pre-amp, but for 1/2 the price, the GE Omni antenna works as expected. Unfortunately, due to the 6 foot coax cable, I must keep the antenna fairly close to the TV. Considering I would spend minimum a month for satellite or cable, investing in this antenna for about to dollars is a good deal. I recommend this antenna, especially if you live 30 miles or less from a large city.

For the price, a good value. It works as intended. Holes and hardware (screws furnished) lined up well. Even with a small TV it is a two person job. Most important is to use a level for installation as once unit is on the wall the "head" can not be rotated. Outside of that slight problem this is a good unit for the price. Package came right to house in two days via USPS, standard shipping. Hard to believe isn't it? Express shipping would have cost more and probably would not have arrived any sooner.

Okay, it's a cable....
so it works, but a few upsides here:
1. flexible - I used this for my Varizoom controller to reach the camera on the end of my jib arm. I use the Skycrane which gives you a great degree of rotation and I did not want a stiff cable. Good feature.
2. reinforced plugs - hoping this will help with prolonged life, eliminating fatigue where the plugs join the cable.
3. length - it was what I ordered 10'. This is a great choice for an 8' jib arm, allowing room for extreme tilt axis.

Before I installed these cables, I did a side by side test with a 6ft HDMI cable from a DVD player to the projector. The HDMI cable went directly from the DVD player to the projector. To simulate the installation, I went from the source to a 12 ft component cable, through wall connectors, to these component cables, and then to the projector. There was a slight, but noticeable drop-off in both color and clarity compared to the HDMI installation, but not too bad considering the connections, length of cable, and cost of this cable. To improve on this, I would probably have to spend 3 times as much as this cable cost.

I was very skeptical at this product because of the name brand and extremely low price. Well it is exactly what you think it is. It is an outstanding quality Monster brand cable with DVI in on one end and HDMI on the other. I have it connecting my Macmini, which has a DVI for its output to monitor, to my LCD TV, which has HDMI inputs. It works perfectly. You couldn't ask for a better product at an incredible price. I was concerned when I received it that it might be damaged because one of the pins looked recessed. I emailed the company I bought it from and got a same day response that if the cable did not work they would be glad to send a new one. It turned out that it is supposed to be that way and works great, but the point is that they were very professional to respond quickly to my concern and were willing to correct the problem if one existed.

I purchased two of these to hopefully replace a TiVO, DVD, Cable box, TV, and surround sound remotes. I've gotten all to work except the surround sound (Wal-Mart cheapo that apparently no one can get to work with a universal remote). The set up was easy and most importantly, the TiVO functionality is there. I did have to do some button configuration for a Tivo function or two (there's no clear button on the remote for the Tivo). This link is a big help [...]. Once you figure out the code that controls your device, then the links here give you all the extra functions that may not be on the universal. The book that comes with this remote doesn't tell how to assign a specific function to a key, It's device, set - 2 flashes, 9,9,4, set, CODE, key to use . For example to assign the TIvo Clear to the Move button on the remote (note - my Tivo works with the code 0618 and the clear code is 663) - PVR, set - 2 flashes, 9,9,4, set, 6,6,3, move.

We're very pleased. My wife isn't yelling at me to pause a DVD shen she wants to tell me something. We're not juggling 4-5 remotes anymore.

OK, I will admit when I first saw this switch advertised for , I was really skeptical, in fact, I was pretty sure it was junk.

First a little background. I have a 5 yr/old Panasonic 60" LCD flat screen, which only has 1 HDMI input. It was OK at the time, but now my cable box is HD, I have a blu-ray dvd player, and a PS3 which can output a HD signal. A new tv is not in the budget so I started the search for a HDMI switch.

I purchased this 3 to 1 switch as a Amazon bundle with a blu-ray player. The bundle included the switch, a 2' hdmi cable, and a Toslink cable for extra. I know, I know, spells junk; but I added it anyway. I have not used either of the cables because I didn't need them. (Still not convinced of the quality of a 2' HDMI cable for $ .89 !!!!!)

The switch is Chinese made, comes in a generic white box, with a ir remote control, remote receiver and the switch. The switch has 3 inputs and one output. If you have a device that always outputs a signal, such as a cable box, plug it into port #2 or #3. A dvd or video game could be plugged into #1. The switch senses the active signal and uses that port. If the device connected to port 1 isn't active, it tries port 2 then 3.

I was concerned about losing signal quality by going through such a low price switch, but no worries. Picture is the same as a straight connection! No loss! Sound portion of my signal passes through a home theater system, so can't comment on that.

One note: when I opened the generic box, I was concerned that it contained no power supply. A look at the switch showed a +5 volt input connection. I thought that I had indeed been duped. No external power is required for this switch. Not sure why there is a connection for power, unless this box is used for another model, perhaps an HDMI amplifier.

Long story short - this seems to be a good, input sensing switch or manually selected switch (using remote) at an extremely good price. I will edit this later if I have any problems.

This Monster MC 200F-4M or roughly a 13 foot is without question nor doubt, the best coaxial cable you could ever hope for...

My problem started with, let's say a very poor picture all of a sudden, at first I thought it will go away, as I assumed Comcast (cable company) was the issue here? However as time went by, I said either my Tv or Cable Box was lacking at best! Just to aptly explain things here, I had recalled moving cable(s) which I checked and made sure all were in place and secure; next day I recieved a very high performance Dvi/USB cable to which as a child might, I hurriedly removed the contents and hooked all ends securely, which helped a lot for sure!

Just the other day, I thought to myself, maybe my previous monster coaxial (sadly) had defected/gone bad? So when my new coaxial cable came, I said why not as I felt the picture was appropriate enough, but when I'd hooked both simple ends up it was night and day... On a faulty CABLE box, which I still haven't traded in (cable huh), we're talking great things here and all in an aptly simple enough fashion in fixing! Anyone who knows old school F-PIN STYLE HOOKUPS is good to go, just making sure not to demolish the pin, just center it up to the center and hole in the middle, stick in, secure by screwing tightly in, once this is done in connecting the entire CABLE your done; maybe a sweat off your brow, as me, but any caveman, or cavewoman can do this! Basically, after having these cables installed, I figured my old cables did need a tune up, I mean my audio is better by far, my video is amazing on my big screen HDTV. When I finally get a new box (Motorola Cable Box) after having it long enough, it will be amazing as to how the results will look? No joke here, if you buy this particular set of cables, which I'm currently speaking of, you will not be dissapointed and I just pray man, that thes cables work magic for your cable or media as well... IOGear GHDMI1005P Series 1000 HDMI Cable - 5m (Black) Review

I have an older IOGear HDMI cable (had it for a couple years now) that's never given me trouble. The older one came in a really fancy package and cost a fortune. I was a little skeptical when I found this one priced this cheap. It doesn't feel quite as well made as my first IOGear cable (and it was simply packaged in a plastic bag). But for the price, it's better than expected.

If I ever need another HDMI cable, I'll definitely buy another IOGear.

I purchased this product because I could not justify the cost of the mounts that are available retail. The product was delivered within 48 hours with just std shipping! The box was inside another box and nothing was missing. The directions are TERRIBLE! Might as well not have any. Go to the Cheetah web site for more pictures if you need help.

As a structural engineer,that has worked in the cold steel forming industry, I feel that this support will do just fine for up to about 100 lb TV. If you can get it to hit the wall studs with four 3/16" thick screws would be ideal. This should not be difficult because the wall slats have elongated openings. Even if you get just two of the screws on studs would be fine. Then you can use toggle bolts (also 3/16" diam) for going into drywall (should be 1/2" thick drywall minimum).

The assembly of the support is straight forward. The tilt needs to be set before you secure the TV permantly. Do not forget to tighten the bottom screws after positioning the TV. Make sure there are two of you when hanging the TV to the wall supports.

I mounted my 32LH20 LG TV and it worked just fine. A 32" TV covers the mount just fine, nothing smaller though!

I would have no problem hanging up to a 50" TV as long as you can hit one stud at least.
